The Tasting:
The San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is currently the largest wine competition in North America. All bonded wineries in the United States, Canada, and Mexico are eligible to enter the wine competition. No entries from wines grown or produced outside of North America are eligible to enter. Professional wine judges are sourced throughout the major wine regions in North America to offer a diversity of expertise to each judging panel.
Miro Cellars will pour our three gold medal winning wines at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition Public Tasting at Fort Mason Center on February 16, 2019.

The 2016 Zinfandel Mounts Miro Reserve is medium garnet-purple with a nose of raspberry pie, kirsch and blueberry compote with notions of potpourri, baking spices and anise. The palate is super big, rich, full and plush with great freshness and expression, finishing long and spicy. 191 cases produced.

The Sonoma County Harvest Fair is the largest regional wine competition in the United States. Any wine made with grapes grown in Sonoma County, with a Sonoma County designated AVA as the only region listed on the bottle is eligible for entry.
The choice of judges for the Sonoma County Harvest Fair Professional Wine competition is a critical step in creating a well-balanced panel of experts that will award Best of Class, Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the over 1,000 wines that will be entered into the competition this year. Harvest Fair strives to recruit a range of experts representing all regions in the US. These include educators, enologists, trade, media and professionals in the hospitality industry.
