Winemaker’s Description:
Fragrant, sun-warm strawberry and citrus blossom aromas are followed by flavors of pomegranate, fused with a crisp Ruby grapefruit finish.
This bone-dry Rosé is perfect with spicy Asian-inspired cuisine, casual outdoor dining—or just a good friend and a warm summer evening.
Peter Chevalier’s tiny one-acre vineyard, where the Grenache for this wine grows, is in the hills above the shores of Lake Mendocino. The southern exposure and cool afternoon breezes from the lake are perfect for the sun-loving Grenache grapes. I made this Rosé in the old tradition: no oak, minimal skin contact, and long cold fermentation to develop and preserve the intricate aromas and flavors of classic Rosé.
