Perfect to pair with meze, tapas or your favorite meal.

My goal was to create a distinctive yet accessible blend. This vintage is a Zinfandel blend that exemplifies the easygoing, everyday style that has always defined Cuvée Sasha.

Tasting Notes

Some wines just make sense. This vintage of our Cuvée Sasha is a field blend of Old Vines grown in the vineyards of California’s North Coast since the days before the Prohibition. Each variety brings its own signature to this dark and zesty wine full of aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries, and plums. The wine is dense and complex with layers of rich and velvety tannins with a long, juicy finish. With aeration, nuances of ripe plums, vanilla, and cocoa are showing with a slight dose of oak and toast. It’s delicious now, but the 2015 Cuvée Sasha will reward your patience with 2-3 years of aging. Cheers!

Our 2015 Cuvée Sasha is predominately Zin blended with Petite Sirah and Carignane, resulting in very fruity yet complex and full-bodied Rhône-like wine.

72% Zinfandel
22% Petite Sirah
3% Sangiovese
2% Carignane
1% Syrah

Buying guide

The Vintage

The 2015 grape growing season was dry, with less-than-normal rainfall for Northern California. The summer was relatively cool overall, resulting in brighter fruit aromas and more elegant wines in general. The grapes for this wine come from some of the oldest plantings of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, and Carignane of the California’s North Coast.
